Just a Little Flirt
Crush # 2
By: Renita Pizzitola
Releasing March 31, 2015
Saying yes has always come easy for Fallon. Now, as Renita Pizzitola’s steamy, poignant Crush series continues, winning her dream job means saying no to the guy she wants the most.
Between all the parties and random hook-ups, Fallon Carr is this close to flunking out of college. But her internship working with pediatric patients means the world to her—especially since, at the end of the summer, one lucky intern will be offered a paid position. Determined to leave her bad reputation behind, Fallon even takes a bet that she won’t sleep with anyone from work. But there’s one little catch. . . .
Not only is Cade Ryan the hottest guy Fallon has ever laid eyes on, he’s a therapy dog handler who volunteers his time to visit kids at the hospital. So when he starts pursuing her, Fallon can’t believe her bad timing. The thing is, Cade is different. He’s not like the college guys who see her as a one-night stand, or the high-school boyfriend who took a part of her she can never get back. Cade genuinely wants to spend time with her—and not just between the sheets.
Fallon won’t let her growing feelings for Cade get in the way of her dreams. Besides, no guy can break down the walls she put up long ago. So what’s the harm in a little flirting? It’s not like she’s falling in love. But she may have seriously underestimated how complicated things can get when the perfect guy falls for her first.
Renita Pizzitola is the author of New Adult contemporary romance and Young Adult fantasy. When not writing, she can be found feeding her caramel macchiato addiction and reading just about anything she can get her hands on. She lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband and two children.
Hello Renita! Welcome to Roberta’s Dreamworld and thank you for your time. First of all, tell us something about yourself, both as a writer and as a person.
Hi, and thanks for having me on your blog today! I’m a New Adult author and love writing stories that are both sweet and steamy! I live in Austin, Texas with my husband and two children.
How/when did you realize you wanted to become a writer?
I’ve always enjoyed writing, but it wasn’t until my late 20’s that I had the time and drive to really make it happen!
Let’s speak about Just a Little Flirt. We’ve read the synopsis but can you tell us a little more about what the book is about?
Sure! It’s the story of Fallon (who was introduced in book one of the Crush series) and Cade. Fallon is a bit of a party girl, but life is starting to catch up with her. She decides to reform her ways with the help of a new internship but it becomes something of a challenge when she meets Cade (who is pretty much the epitome of perfect). He makes his interest known, and soon she finds herself struggling with her old and new identity.
How did you come up with the idea and how did you create the characters?
Fallon’s story started coming to me as I worked on book one (Just a Little Crush) but figuring out who her perfect guy would be was something that took more thought. Around that same time, I’d been toying with the idea of writing a male main character who was a therapy pet handler. One day it just hit me that this was the perfect combination! And Fallon’s story was born.
If you should describe your books in three words, what would you pick?
Sweet, steamy, fun!
Do you have any favorite authors and did they influence your choice of the genre?
I have so many authors who I love! But some of my favorite New Adult authors are Christina Lee and Sophie Jordan.
What else do you enjoy doing, when you’re not writing?
I’m lucky to live a great city with so much to do! I love spending time with my family and friends and just enjoying it all!
As a writer do you get support from your family and friends?
Absolutely. My family and friends are my support system. They are my cheerleaders. My sounding board. My fans. They are everything to me!
What are your dreams and plans for your future as a writer?
I just hope I can keep doing what I love! I want to keep writing books and hope readers continue to enjoy them!
Would you like to say something to the readers to encourage them to read your books?
If they love New Adult, or romance in general, than I’d love for them to check out my books! They can be read as a standalone, but the characters make appearances in each book so you can also get more of their stories by reading each one!
